Meeting Minutes

June 6th, 2006

  1. Meeting called to order at 7:00
  2. President, Linda Dyer, reported:
    • 36 houses participated in May garage sale (43 - 2005; 58 - 2003). Second neighborhood garage sale scheduled for early Oct.
    • Covenants and Architectural Guidelines, plus summer newsletter, distributed.
    • THANKS to CAROLYN REGIER, TARA JACKSON AND JANA MATHER for helping distribute.
    • Violation Letters: 4 sent - 3 compliances; 1 second notice
    • Web page updates almost complete. Pictures of Yard of the Month posted this summer.
  3. Vice-President, Jim Weir, reported:
    • Flagpole fixed
    • THANKS to BOB EVA for fixing.
    • Three (3) benches and picnic table ordered for gazebo at Pond.
    • Fence around playground beginning to sink. What is needed to fix will be studied.
    • Catfish added to pond.
  4. Treasurer, Jim Weir, reported:
    • $2.072.06 in checking account.
    • $19,688.41 in money market account.
    • We currently have outstanding association dues from 9 homes (under $400.00 owed, 4 homes (under $500.00 owned) and 3 homes owe $617.00. The Board is studying what action needed for past due accounts.
  5. Secretary, Linda Dyer, acting secretary, reported:
    • Minutes of May 2, 2006, meeting were distributed and accepted.
    • SECRETARY IS STILL NEEDED.
  6. Committee Reports:
    • Beautification: Tim and Jana Mather reported:
      1. A reminder to not block the Elm Place entrance while using the Pond.
      2. Lost items in common areas will be left in place for a week, taken to Mather's residence for 1 month, and then donated to charity if not claimed.
      3. June Yard of the Month - 1700 South Maple, Leo and Katherine Izzabell.
    • Neighborhood Relations: Joyce Hodges reported:
      1. She now has the welcome packets and will be distributing to new residents.
      2. Also, compiling a list of all houses for sale or withdrawn from sale for President and Treasurer.
    • Special Projects - Chairman Needed
    • Neighborhood Watch - Chairman Needed
  7. Old Business:
    • Jim Weir distributed a volunteer list for Neighborhood Night Out, August 1, 2006. Will be asking for help to contact those we invite to participate.
  8. New Business - None
  9. Questions and Comments from the Floor:
    • Questions about traffic flow, improper driving and stoplights. Not under Association jurisdiction.
