  5. Linda Dyer, Acting Secretary, presented the 7/3/2007 minutes and they were approved.
  6. Tim Mather, Beautification Chair, reported August July of the Month won by Katherine and Leo Izzabell. Since we did not have a July winner, the Yard of the Month will be continued through September.
  7. Joyce Hodges, Neighborhood Relations Chair, reported welcome packet delivery is up to date.
  8. Old Business
    • Fall Garage Sale - September 29, 8:00 to ???. Linda will advertise and sign will be put at front entrance week of sale.
    • Unfinished sidewalk on Maple still pending. Jim Weir will check.
    • Trim paint colors were discussed. Linda read from the Architectural Guidelines and By-laws paragraphs that would apply. After discussion at 2 meetings, all residents agreed that the intent of the paint color restrictions was for any color that would be considered garish by common standards and this is a non-issue at this time.
  9. New Business
    • Nomination of 2008 Officers:
      1. President: Jim Weir (Nominated by Burie Radney)
      2. Vice-President: (No nomination)
      3. Secretary: Linda Dyer (Nominated by Burie Radney)
      4. Treasurer: Jana Mather (Nominated by Burie Radney)
    • Committee Chairpersons will be appointed by new officers after election in October.
    • Discussion of Linear Park Trail Access: Linda Dyer presented a map of the subdivision showing the trail and how we could request from the City of Broken Arrow to connect this trail to our subdivision. After discussion, a vote taken of those in attendance resulted in a 6-6 tie. Since there was no majority, the motion to connect died for lack of majority.
  10. Questions and comments from the Floor:
    • Jana Mather asked about safety inspections for the playground equipment. Jim will check this and we will get a check done on the equipment.
    • Residents continued to be concerned about cars and trailers parked on the street. Linda encourages those residents who are bothered by illegal parking to call the Broken Arrow Action Center and report violations. Streets belong to the city, and only when illegal parking violates our restrictive covenants will officers of the association call these violations to the city's attention.
  11. Meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM.
