Meeting Minutes

  1. Meeting called to order at 7:02 PM by President, Jim Weir.
  2. Jim reported National Night Out was a success and the Association plans to continue National Night Out next year. Jim thanked LINDA DYER for help with correspondence and violation notification letters.
  3. Acting Vice-President, Linda Dyer, reported 2 shed violations (letters have been sent) and several recreational vehicles and/or boats are appearing in driveways, but not staying very long. Letters will not be sent on these unless they are not moved in a short time. Web use for Association website has been: May, 85; June 72; and July, 62. There was been one assault and battery arrest made on August 8 in the 900 block West Pittsburg Place.
  4. Jim reported for absent treasurer $12,025.53 in checking, $2,427.14 in money market checking and receivables of $9,866.70. Final invoices have been sent to all homeowners still owing 2008 dues, and small claims actions are planned for all owing 2 years and not paid by September 15.
  5. Jim presented the 2009 budget and a few questions and corrections were made. Marion Dyer moved and Jason Coan seconded approving the 2009 budget with changes. The final budget will be posted on the website.
  6. June 2, 2008 minutes were presented and approved.
  7. Jim reported for absent Tim Mather a cleanup of limbs and debris has been cleared from the pond area. A few possible improvements to the pond area were presented for discussion, but no vote was taken on any new improvements. These will be discussed more fully at later meetings before any decisions are made.
  8. Jason Coan reported all welcome packets are up to date. Three sales are pending and 6 active listings are priced at $83.00/sq. ft. Closed sales during 2008 have averaged $82.00/sq.ft. Jason will check to make sure covenants and architectural guidelines are being distributed to new homeowners.
  9. The fall garage sale will be September 27 from 8:00 am until ??. Association will advertise in Ledger and World and hang the large sign at the entrance.
